Tea Shoppe

Two more cards using the Tea Shoppe Stamp set.

The first card was made using the Elements of Style flourish and embossing with white on black card stock.  The tea cup was double matted and a white satin bow added held on by one of the Antique brads.

The second card was made with the twitterpated designer paper on Island Indigo card stock.

Both cards were very simple to make.

Enjoy,
Lori

Mom's Birthday Card

Today was my mom's birthday!!  I have the best mom in the whole world!  She truly is my best friend.

I had seen a card posted on our demonstrator website that I fell in love with and I couldn't wait to make it for my mom's birthday.  This card was shown by demonstrator Jamielynn Lake.  Thank you Jamielynn for sharing this with us!

I made my card a little different than the one Jamielynn made so that I could use the supplies I had on hand.

Mom loves summer and flowers, so this card was just perfect!

The cool thing about this card is that it is a pocket card.  The flowers are actually on a piece of layered card stock that pulls out of the pot and has a place for you to add your sentiment.

I am thinking that this will be one of the cards we will make at my July workshop!

Supplies used:
  • Card Stock - Cajun Craze, Old Olive, Whisper White, Brights Designer Series Paper Stack (flowers & leaves)
  • Blossom Punch
  • Leaves were cut free hand
  • Old olive and Regal Rose inks
If you like this card, but you cannot attend the class, let me know and I will put a kit together for you, complete with directions!

Enjoy,
Lori

Men's Dress Shirt Card

Isn't this the cutest Card?  And it is super easy to make!

Directions:

Choose the pattern for your shirt.  The back side of your paper will end up being your shirt collar, so chose a pattern that will work for both sides.

Cut a the piece for your shirt 4 inches by 5 1/4 inches.

Score the top edge of the card at 5/8 inch.
Cut in 1 inch on each side on the score line.

Find the center of the shirt front.
Fold each side of the tabs you cut to the center matching the top point
of the collar to the line that you scored.

Set your shirt front aside.

Choose a pattern for your tie.Cut a 4 x 4 inch square out of your selected paper.

Fold the square in half - point to point - making a triangle.

Open your folded piece of paper up.
Fold the sides in to the center fold line.
Crease well with your bone folder.

Turn the paper over - right side up.
Fold top point down
approximately 1 1/2 inch.

Next fold the point back upwards to the middle of the section you
had just folded down.

Fold the pointed section up a second time.

Un-tuck the point from the inside of the fold and fold it to the back of the tie.
This formed the knot at the top of the tie.

Flip the tie over so that the right side is now face down.
Take both sides of the tie and fold them in a second time, narrowing the tie.
Give this a nice crease with your bone folder.
Run adhesive down the middle of the middle layer of the tie
and adhere both sides down.  This completes your tie!

Adhere the tie to the front of the shirt placing the top of the tie just
above the score line.  Place a doubled stampin' dimensional
on each collar flap.  This keeps your collar from looking too flat.
Fold each tab in to place.

Adhere shirt to the front of a card base - ( 8 x 5-1/2 inches folded in half to 4 x 5-1/2 inches)
Make a small hole on each side of the collar with a paper piercing tool

and add brads to the collar.

TaDa!!  You're done!!

Enjoy!
